Corporate Law

The firm has broad experience in creating and organizing companies or legal entities in Mexico, and in incorporate all kinds of foreign corporations into Mexican legal entities.

Many of the activities performed by the firm involve the incorporation of corporations, associations, industrial chambers, trusts, and foundations, as well as the organization, reorganization, modification, merger, and/or dissolution of said entities, including all matters related to the regulation of legal entities and the administrative representation of companies and associations.



Commercial Transactions

The firm has wide experience in handling the affairs of both small and large enterprises, Mexican and foreign. It provides its clients with comprehensive legal counsel based on wide experience in all aspects of commercial transactions, including the preparation and interpretation of contracts, the issuance of opinions, governmental and regulatory matters, commercial property, tax structures, and current Mexican legislation designed to identify and prevent transactions with illicit funds.


Intellectual Property

The firm has an intellectual property division, managed by specialized lawyers with broad experience in all aspects of intellectual property both in Mexico and abroad, including patents, trademarks, brands, utility models, industrial designs, geographical indications, copyrights, reservation of legal rights, protection of trade secrets, domain names, records of transfers and licenses for trademarks and inventions, franchises and technology transfers, administrative litigation procedures relating to intellectual property, proceedings for annulment and injunctions, and in general all manner of procedures and processes aimed at settling disputes related to intellectual property.

The firm also handles clients’ trademark portfolios, protecting their intellectual property rights and helping them to achieve their commercial ends both in Mexico and internationally, through its worldwide network of correspondents.



Tax Law

In the area of tax law, the firm provides counsel on Mexican tax legislation at the federal, state and local levels, as well as all aspects of its application, including the resolution of problems that may come before the Secretariat of Finance and other authorities, including the cancellation and refund of taxes. It also has experience in planning methods and strategies and tax representation with regard to the financing, restructuring, and transaction of real estate, both public and private.



Enviromental Law

The firm has the capacity and expertise to provide clients with assistance in environmental matters, including legal audits and consulting on Mexican environmental and water legislation, as well as administrative procedures and connected with the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (PROFEPA), the National Water Commission (CNA), and other competent authorities.


Regulatory Law

The firm has specialized in helping clients to meet their regulatory requirements, ensuring that their products and services comply with Mexican norms and standards in a wide range of commercial sectors, including the automotive industry, food and beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, with attention to both economic competitiveness and consumer rights.

The firm also offers legal counsel in matters related to opening commercial establishments, including the licenses and authorizations required by the COFEPRIS, the PROFECO, and other Mexican civil protection and regulatory agencies.

The firm is also equipped to provide counsel on all matters related to the protection of personal data and the filing of reports and notifications in connection with vulnerable transactions, under the terms of the Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Transactions with Funds of Illicit Origin and its secondary regulations.



Banking and Financial Law

The firm acts as a general consultant to various international financial institutions that use the Mexican banking system. It provides counsel on the establishment of representation offi- ces for banks and their respective authorizations, credit tran- sactions, refinancing, loans, and financial matters in general.

The firm has represented both public and private issuers in placing capital and debt, commercial paper, and stock certificates, issuing the relevant legal opinions for the purpose.

Since the founding of the firm, all of its members have been committed to providing social services and collaborating with all kinds of charitable institutions that require legal counsel.


Insurance and Reinsurance

The firm has ample experience in providing counsel to Mexican and foreign insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as establishing representation offices and registering reinsurance companies.



Foreign Investment

It is offered as a complement to the Corporate Law services in which the firm specializes, it also provides counsel to foreign enterprises, partners, and shareholders who wish to establish corporations or trusts in Mexico with foreign capital, ensuring that clients can meet the requirements of Mexican foreign investment regulations, including all necessary follow-up measures and the filing of quarterly and annual reports to the National Foreign Investment Registry.



Dispute Settlement / Administrative and Tax Litigation

In the settlement of disputes, the firm undertakes to satisfy the needs of its clients, participating actively in negotiations, whether in Mexico or abroad, and providing counsel on both federal and local administrative and tax procedures.
